New York, October 19, 2015 – Marco Benvenuti, Chief Product and Analytics Officer and co- founder of Duetto, has been named Entrepreneur in Residence by the Pillsbury Institute at Cornell University’s School of Hospitality Administration (SHA). Benvenuti will teach courses at SHA, hold regular office hours on campus and participate in other academic and social programs in the SHA community. His first quarterly visit begins on October 19th. Benvenuti holds an MMH from Cornell, where he currently serves on the advisory board of the Center for Hospitality Research at SHA.

“I am proud to begin serving as Entrepreneur in Residence at the Pillsbury Institute, where seeds are planted for so much of the hotel industry’s innovation,” said Benvenuti. “As a graduate of SHA myself, I know firsthand the quality of scholarship that prepares students for future leadership in the industry. In fact, we have more than a few ‘Hotelies’ on our team at Duetto. I look forward to participating in many aspects of life on campus in the coming months, as we bring together Duetto’s spirit of innovation in Revenue Strategy, with the best academic minds and finest students in the industry.”

Duetto, the market leader in hotel profit optimization technology, provides the only pricing solution able to handle the complexity of different customer segments, room categories, length of stay restrictions and distribution channels. The company’s approach, combining Open Pricing and Big Data analysis, has enabled Duetto customers to far outpace their competitive sets, often seeing twice the rate of revenue growth over their competitors.

Every academic year, the Pillsbury Institute invites successful entrepreneurs to the Ithaca campus through the Entrepreneurs-in-Residence program. The program enables students to learn through ongoing personal interaction with successful entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurs-in-residence meet one-on-one with students to help them with business development, networking, and career planning.
