SAN FRANCISCO (June 6, 2017) – Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants announced today that Allison Reid, an experienced hospitality executive, has been named its chief development officer for the Americas region. Allison has a history of success in development, real estate investments, finance, and hotel operations. In her role at Kimpton she will be responsible for leading real estate development and management contracts across the brand.

Prior to Kimpton, Allison served as senior vice president of North America development for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, overseeing development and acquisition efforts for all 11 of its brands in North America, the Caribbean and French Polynesia. Allison was also instrumental in launching three new brands including Starwood’s “Tribute Portfolio,” a collection of independent, four-star hotels, where she signed more than ten deals in the first year. Allison was also the chief financial officer for W Hotels, driving strategic operating and brand growth initiatives.

Allison spent six years at Interstate Hotels & Resorts Worldwide in various finance and regional roles prior to Starwood, and is a graduate of Bryant University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance and hotel management.
