Hyatt Regency Boston Debuts New $13 million Guestroom Renovation
June 26, 2015 4:51am
Hyatt Regency Boston and Chesapeake Lodging Trust (the “Trust”) today announce the completionof a $13 million guestroom renovation, offering travelers reimagined guestrooms designed to capture the city’s vibrant spirit and energy. Hyatt Regency Boston is located in the heart of Boston’s burgeoning restaurant and dining scene and is steps away from world-renowned cultural attractions, businesses and universities. The hotel affords guests the accessibility to experience the best of Boston, while serving as a home base to meet and convene.
“The renovation of Hyatt Regency Boston marks the completion of a thoroughly reenergized Boston hotel,” said Terry Dunbar, general manager, Hyatt Regency Boston. “With a fresh new look to our guestrooms and recently redesigned public spaces, we are the place to connect people to the city of Boston for each and every occasion. Our team of more than 150 passionate associates can’t wait to welcome Boston visitors and locals to experience our reimagined hotel,” Terry continued.
Hyatt Regency Boston’s renovation drew inspiration from the liveliness and flair of downtown Boston. Each of the hotel’s 502 guestrooms and suites feature a color scheme of soothing, warm grey and gentle gold undertones inspired by Boston’s Charles River, where the water meets the sky. New living room furniture consists of a mid-century inspired, modern seating arrangement and features a small sofa, chair and work table.
Plush seating cushions and decorative throw pillows add to the room aesthetic. Each room also includes new leather headboards, linens, window coverings and soft carpeting. More power outlets and free Wi-Fi allow guests to easily connect a variety of media devices. Each room features a striking original artwork image, including a Boston-inspired State House engraved mirror and signature sliding barn bath door, which increases the functionality of the room for both work and leisure.
The hotel’s 22 spacious suites have also been renovated and restyled. The Executive Terrace Suites offer sweeping views of downtown Boston from a private outdoor terrace, while the Ambassador, Presidential and Governor Suites provide guests a residential environment with unparalleled amenities and design touches that include: contemporary and sleek interiors, crystal chandeliers, floor-to-ceiling windows and private outdoor terraces, a fully stocked bar, in-room weather station and a separate dressing area.
“We are very proud of our total transformation of this incredible hotel,” said James L. Francis, president and chief executive officer of the Trust. “From the moment guests walk into our entry lobby, walk through the main atrium and then to the new guestrooms, we are confident that guests will delight in a whole new experience from this immaculate hotel. We are very excited to reintroduce Hyatt Regency Boston to downtown.”
Guests of Hyatt Regency Boston will continue to enjoy the unmatched authentic hospitality and attention to detail for which the hotel has become known. Other hotel amenities include: Avenue One, a-farm-to-table-inspired, signature-dining restaurant; and more than 30,000 square feet of meeting space, including an elegant ballroom, flexible meeting rooms and an outdoor terrace.
The guestroom renovation completes an entire new look for Hyatt Regency Boston, which underwent an overhaul of all public and meeting spaces including the guest entrances, lobby, Avenue One restaurant and 21 meeting and event spaces in 2013.
