World travelers enjoy a relaxed island greeting without the front desk
"Turtle Bay Resort is a luxury beach destination whose guests travel from around the world. Maestro's iPad Xpress Check-In/Out lets us greet them the moment they arrive and escort them personally to their accommodations without stopping at the front desk," said Victoria Solis, Director of Guest Services for the 452-room resort. The property is a beautiful 55-minute shuttle drive from Honolulu airport to the North Shore. "Maestro's iPad wireless solution provides our team with the perfect opportunity to personalize a guest's arrival experience after their trip. We give guests a fun island greeting at check-in as we walk them across the property."
Turtle Bay Resort offers almost five miles of beachfront at the perfect location to take in the beauty of Kawela Bay and Turtle Bay. The property's oceanfront setting immerses guests in the natural tranquility of Oahu's lush North Shore lifestyle. Turtle Bay also features two landscaped pools, championship golf courses by Fazio and Palmer, tennis courts, horseback riding, hiking and mountain bike trails, a surf center, world-class dining, and shopping.
Beyond check-in/out: iPad Xpress displays room upgrade options, activities to generate revenue
"Maestro's iPad wireless capability goes beyond remote check-in and check-out," said Warren Dehan, Maestro PMS President. "The remote functionality is completely integrated with the Maestro Front Office including key encoding. In addition to registering guests from airport shuttles and curbside, Maestro Xpress can show room options, upgrades, activities, and amenities to generate revenue. It is ideal for group check-in processes to free up the lobby area. Plus, the iPad synchronizes data in real time. Availability and rates are accurate so service is delivered confidently." Dehan noted that Maestro iPad Xpress Check-In works seamlessly with multiple versions of Maestro PMS, including on-premise, remotely-hosted, and property-based self-hosted implementations.
A 'personalized relationship' with guests, plus 'Green Hotel' operations
"Our guests love the new iPad check-in process," said Solis. "After their journey to Turtle Bay Resort they can unwind with our agent and have what we call in The Islands, 'talk story.' This friendly interaction establishes a personalized relationship we could never do at the front desk. Plus, we use the iPad Xpress' electronic signature capture capability. We are a 'green hotel' and we value not having to waste additional paper for registration cards."
Maestro PMS worked with the It Just Works Software (IJWS) company to develop the iPad Xpress Check-In solution. "Thanks to our cooperative relationship with IJWS, we can provide seamless, real-time wireless iPad terminal functionality that enhances service and guest convenience to all Maestro PMS users," Dehan said.
