WANSHIP, UTAH (February 21, 2019) – The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Resorts Collection, the new resort that will introduce a modern interpretation of the Western adventure when it opens near Park City in May 2019, today announced the appointment of Joe Ogdie as General Manager.

In his new role, Ogdie will oversee the daily operations of the resort, which will encompass 46 rooms and suites, a spa, signature restaurant, High West Distillery and countless outdoor activities, such as heli-skiing, horseback riding and kids’ programs, that will connect guests with the expansive 3,500-acre mountain paradise.

“We are thrilled to have Joe lead the opening of The Lodge at Blue Sky, the collection’s first property in Utah,” said Craig Reid, Chief Operating Officer, Auberge Resorts Collection. “The Lodge will offer an unmatched level of luxury, wellness and culinary offerings, along with a variety of outdoor activities and unprecedented access to Utah’s pristine wildlife. Joe’s well-established experience in luxury hotels and resorts, including our very own Calistoga Ranch and Solage in Napa Valley, love of the outdoors and welcoming personality make him perfectly suited to oversee the success of Blue Sky.”

A luxury hospitality professional, Ogdie has worked in key management positions with globally recognized hotel brands. Prior to accepting this new role at The Lodge at Blue Sky, he served as Interim General Manager at Calistoga Ranch, and, prior to that, as Director of Operations and Director of Food and Beverage at Solage. Ogdie began his career with Four Seasons, working across properties in Hawaii, New York and Florida. Ogdie holds a degree in hospitality management from Baltimore International College.

“I am delighted to help bring this new resort to the Park City area, where guests can experience luxury with wild abandon in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains,” said Joe Ogdie, General Manager of The Lodge at Blue Sky. “I am excited to be a part of the incredible team at The Lodge at Blue Sky.”

An outdoor enthusiast with a passion for food and wine, Ogdie spends his free time skiing and cooking. When traveling, he loves to visit exotic locales where he can experience the destination’s food and beverage scene one restaurant at a time, with a preference for places off the beaten path.
