Los Angeles, CA (April 16, 2019) The Los Angeles Airport Marriott (LAX Marriott) announces the addition of Ryan Wollman to the hotel’s executive team as the new Director of Group Sales.
With the completion of a $50 million renovation wrapping up later this summer, this new role supports the Los Angeles Airport Marriott’s accelerated performance in meetings and events and solidifies its place as the premier west coast airport property.
In his new role, Wollman maximizes group revenue and profitability through the sale of guest rooms, catering and tours, and for directing, managing and coordinating all group sales activities. Additionally, he will assist with the development and implementation of resort sales and marketing strategies.
A graduate from Central Connecticut State University with a BS in Hospitality and Tourism, Wollman’s hotel career began as part of Hilton’s Management Development Program. He then joined the Hiltons of Washington, D.C. in which he sold multiple hotels covering corporate, association and sports markets for large groups and events. Eventually, transitioning to Marriott, he joined flagship hotel, JW Marriott Washington, D.C., as a Senior Sales Executive.
Now joining the LAX Marriott, Hotel General Manager Jeff Hart says that as the property completes this exciting renovation and addition of refreshed meeting and event spaces, Wollman will play an integral role in telling the story of the new LAX Marriott.
“We are thrilled for Wollman to join our Executive Team,” said Hart. “Wollman’s professional achievement thus far will carry well into his new role as Director of Group Sales, allowing him to truly place a spotlight on our re-imagined hotel, and further position the LAX Marriott as the premier west coast airport property.”
With the addition of its new meeting and event spaces, the Los Angeles Airport Marriott completes its $50 million property-wide transformation. The property has served as an international travel hub for over 40 years. Through the completion of its groundbreaking redesign project, the hotel ushers in a new generation of travel.
