San Francisco, CA – With hotels in the U.S. and globally preforming at record-breaking rates (STR, 2018), a new service is available to help underperforming properties get their part of the pie. Rob Sudakow, an expert in revenue management across the hotel spectrum, has launched RevUp Consulting to help distressed hotels build stronger bottom lines.
RevUp offers a complete system, including revenue management, budget forecasting, competitor evaluation, e-commerce, and distribution. Clients can choose to have a virtual hotel revenue manager specifically for their property. With this service, clients receive hands-on support that is customized to the individual property. For short-term projects, RevUp offers onsite revenue management.
With 15 years of experience successfully increasing market share for a variety of properties, RevUp founder and CEO Rob Sudakow knows what it takes to build a strong bottom line. “We diagnose our clients existing processes. With that review and data analysis, we recommend changes that will enhance revenue performance, from marketing strategies to business processes and technologies.”
Sudakow understands what it takes to create a solid revenue generating culture for properties of all sizes. He has direct experience working for multiple properties ranging from 12-room villas to 1,000-room airport hotels. “Whether your business is a luxury resort, a conference center, a boutique hotel, or an urban location, success means having all of the right pieces working together effectively.”
Sudakow says those pieces include not only basic revenue management, but also e-commerce, sales, distribution, and digital marketing. To achieve that, Sudakow has built RevUp to implement the best practices in the industry, including proven techniques and the latest travel distribution developments.
With degrees from the University of Rochester in molecular genetics and comparative religions and a minor in archeology, Sudakow didn’t foresee a career in hotel revenue management. In fact, he was pursuing archeological interests in Israel and Jordan when the 9/11 tragedy occurred. Funding for that work dried up as the country focused on responding to the attack. Sudakow returned to the States and took a front desk job in a small hotel. From there, he progressed rapidly into executive roles, amassing knowledge to become the expert he is today.
