Dec. 04–Walt Disney World reached the milestone of selling one million mobile dining orders, the company announced this week on its blog.

It's taken more than a year for Disney to sell one million orders on its My Disney Experience app.

The option debuted last year and had expanded to 15 locations at the parks and Disney Springs by August 2017, Disney previously said on its blog.

Disney surprised a family from North Carolina with a $500 gift card in honor of being the one millionth customer.

Universal Orlando Resort also recently hit a milestone in October, selling 20 million Butterbeers.

Universal began selling Butterbeers at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park in 2010.
