St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands (July 19, 2019) – Marking a new era in its legacy, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas is reopening its doors December 2019, following a period of extensive enhancements. The all-encompassing $100 million project includes fully reimagined and redesigned public spaces, rooms and suites, event and meeting space, and dining venues inclusive of a new culinary concept.
Situated on 30 acres of cascading grounds, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas will have a refreshed look and feel, introducing a pristine white palette with splashes of color inspired by the sparkling sea and a renovated landscape filled with lush tropical plant life. The resort’s 180 guestrooms and suites have been entirely reimagined with a bright and airy design that amplifies the natural beauty of the island, all purposefully facing the Bay to offer guests expansive ocean views. New additions include:
- A remodeled infinity pool, positioned to look as if it is flowing directly into the ocean and a second pool with a slide for families.
- A new Sicilian restaurant, Alloro, has been added to the resort’s impressive culinary offerings. Transporting guests from the white sandy beaches of St. Thomas to Italy, Alloro will celebrate the simplicity of Sicilian dishes by featuring a variety of traditional recipes that honor their rich heritage.
- The resort’s beloved luxury catamaran, Lady Lynsey, is reemerging with the hotel’s rebirth in the form of a brand-new Lady Lynsey II. The 60-foot vessel will be longer than the original, now accommodating up to 75 guests, and will offer snorkeling tours, sunset dinner cruises, and island-hopping excursions.
