A recent refresh of rooms and public areas and an upgrade of technology at the Comfort Suites in Gastonia, managed by Meyer Jabara Hotels, is seeing a boost in satisfaction scores with guests saying they are likely to return and recommend the hotel to friends
[Danbury, Conn., July 31, 2019] — Since renovating its Comfort Suites in Gastonia, North Carolina, in February, hotel manager Meyer Jabara Hotels (MJH) is seeing a steady flow of new travelers booking rooms and writing positive guest reviews, many saying they will return on their next visit and also recommend this property to others. Located at 1874 Remount Rd., the all-suite hotel has refreshed its public spaces, guestrooms and guest baths, and installed new technologies that are keeping travelers connected.
“Once guests walk through our doors, they will forget any preconceptions of Comfort Suites,” said General Manager Patrick Jolly. “This hotel is modern. It’s sleek. Our new design gives off a mid-century modern vibe that is so popular with today’s Millennials because it’s attractive, versatile and it has staying power. From the lobby to the rooms, there are clean lines and fresh pops of color that appeal to everyone, from seniors and families on vacation to corporate business travelers looking for a comfortable room. Women just love our large, well-lit guest baths, and guests of all ages are wowed by our high-speed Internet. Everyone who stays with us has nothing but positive comments. Our guest satisfaction scores are soaring and guests’ ‘likelihood to return’ and ‘likelihood to recommend’ rankings are higher than ever before. You honestly have to come see it to believe it.”
To ensure that guests can stay connected while on the road, MJH added five times more bandwidth and 10 times more data throughput to its guest Internet offering. The company also equipped nightstands and room desks with a total of six USB ports and five 120v electric outlets to charge multiple mobile devices simultaneously. In the Fall, the Comfort Suites Gastonia will embark on Phase II of its renovation, which will include adding new vinyl wallcovering, lighting and carpeting to room corridors and all in-room TVs will be upgraded from 32-inch to 40-inch models.
“It’s truly a time of change for the Comfort Suites brand,” said Justin Jabara, MJH VP of Business Development and Acquisitions. “There’s a renaissance that blends the warm and welcoming heritage of the Comfort brand’s past with a refreshed, modern look and feel that is quickly catching the eye of all travelers – especially Millennials.
“These property enhancements were exactly what was needed to breathe new life into this interstate hotel,” he said. “It’s refreshing to see that Comfort Suites Gastonia is not just a place to stay for weary road warriors. Corporate travelers and discerning Millennials who are looking for experiential travel are seeking out this hotel, and they are returning again and again. We couldn’t be more pleased with this property’s performance and its commitment to delivering a one-of-a-kind guest experience.”
