EAGAN, MN / DALLAS, TX (February 4, 2020) – Omni Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointments of Brent Glashan as general manager and Mike Hubnik as director of sales and marketing at Omni Viking Lakes Hotel, Omni’s newest property slated to open in October 2020. With nearly 20 years of hospitality experience, Glashan is well-equipped to lead the 320-room hotel to success. Hubnik’s knowledge of the Minneapolis-St. Paul market and years of sales leadership experience will propel the hotel to achieve its goals.

Glashan most recently served as general manager at Omni Houston Hotel at Westside. His managerial career at Omni also includes serving as general manager at Omni Riverfront Hotel, hotel manager at Omni William Penn Hotel and resort manager at The Omni Homestead Resort and Mokara Hotel & Spa. He also served as director of rooms for Omni Austin Hotel Downtown, his first position with the company. Prior to joining the Omni team, he worked as director of rooms and front office operations at various Fairmont properties in Canada and Boston from 2000 to 2010. Glashan graduated from Capilano College with focus in business. He and his wife, Courtney, have two children, 10-year-old Colton and 7-year-old Presley.
Hubnik joins Omni most recently from the Graduate Minneapolis Hotel, where he served as regional director of sales and marketing, overseeing all sales and marketing efforts to maximize topline revenue and client retention. He has over 10 years of experience in the hotel industry from companies including Hyatt, W Hotel, Marriott International Inc., Sheraton and Le Méridien.

Omni Viking Lakes Hotel will sit on the Viking Lakes campus, as a four-star, full-service hotel with 320 rooms and suites. The 14-story hotel will boast 35,000 square feet of meeting space, along with a specialty restaurant and all-day dining venue, spa and fitness center. The hotel design draws upon Nordic architectural traditions and features elements inspired by the American Nordic landscapes of the North.
