OCEAN CITY, Md. (February 6, 2020) – Blue Water Development, a luxury developer specializing in commercial and hospitality properties on the East Coast, is pleased to announce the opening of Comfort Inn & Suites, Daytona Beach Oceanfront on February 1, 2020. Formerly The Mayan Inn, this fully-renovated hotel is the company’s first property in Florida and brings its total number of hotels to ten.
“We jumped at the opportunity to bring the Blue Water family to Florida and the Comfort Inn and Suites brand to Daytona Beach,” said Todd Burbage, Blue Water CEO. “We’ll be owning, operating and managing every aspect of this property, so we were immediately attracted to its amazing location. We’re excited for guests to begin, or continue, enjoying one of America’s most popular vacation destinations from the comfort of our newly renovated, oceanfront accommodations.”
With a bright, modern design that reflects Daytona’s vibrant coastal atmosphere both inside and out, the resort-style property features beautifully appointed common areas; 112 total guest rooms; an oceanfront pool, sun deck, and tiki hut; and a meeting space ideal for business groups and weddings.
The hotel’s 98 standard guest rooms are equipped with premium bedding, a flat-screen TV, and a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffeemaker, while its 14 family-friendly efficiency suites also include full kitchens. In addition, guests staying in one of the hotel’s 76 ocean-facing rooms will enjoy a private balcony, perfect for viewing the famous Florida sunrises.
To prepare for a day of fun on the resort town’s 23-miles of “World’s Most Famous Beach”, at the pier, Daytona International Speedway, or countless shopping destinations, guests can take advantage of a complimentary hot breakfast, a sundries shop, or on-site laundry facilities.
While guests will be able to experience Blue Water’s signature hospitality during Daytona’s event-filled February, the local community will get a chance to do the same when the hotel hosts an official ribbon cutting and grand opening in early March.
“We’re obviously very excited to welcome our first guests, but we’re also very proud to join the Daytona Beach community,” said Burbage. “We look forward to meeting many of its members in March, and we look forward to continuing to grow our relationship with both Volusia County and Florida in the future.”
Comfort Inn & Suites, Daytona Beach Oceanfront is located at 103 South Ocean Ave., Daytona Beach, Florida, 32118.
