Bozeman, Mont. – March 10, 2020 – Aaron Whitten has been appointed general manager of the new Kimpton Armory Hotel Bozeman. The property is the first Kimpton in Big Sky Country and is slated to open spring 2020. The Bozeman property is conveniently located one block off of Main Street in the historic 1941 National Guard Armory building.

In this new role, Whitten will oversee day-to-day operations for the 122-room hotel, which includes three dining venues and an on-site music hall. One of his first responsibilities will be building the team and instituting Kimpton brand standards across the property’s venues.

Whitten, who has earned top performance marks in the Kimpton all company guest satisfaction evaluation for three years in a row, has served in numerous leadership roles at properties world-wide. Prior to moving to Bozeman, Whitten was the hotel manager for Kimpton Alexis Hotel-Seattle, Previously, he assisted with the launch of the first Kimpton Hotel in Europe, while serving as the director of food and beverage for Kimpton Dewitt Hotel-Amsterdam Area, Netherlands. Whitten started his Kimpton career as the food and beverage general manager at Shaker + Spear and Pennyroyal at the Kimpton Palladian Hotel-Seattle. While there, he was recognized for achieving two years of company leading revenue growth.

Prior to Kimpton, Whitten held a number of operations and management positions at food and beverage outlets in Las Vegas, including assisting in the launch of Estiatorio Milos at The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas and Restaurant Charlie in The Palazzo.
