A five-floor Staybridge Suites opened on Wednesday, September 30 in Duluth, Georgia.  Conveniently located at the Duluth Highway exit of Interstate 85, the new hotel has 99 spacious guest suites, each of which features a full modern kitchen as well as separate areas for sleeping and for working or relaxing.

“The opening of our hotel represents the desire of Americans to resume business and leisure travel in a way that is comfortable, safe, and smart,” said Okello M. Odongo, General Manager.  “Our guests can enjoy design and furnishings that are above and beyond any other hotel in the area, while staying protected by unmatched hygiene practices during every minute of their visit.”

The hotel operates under strict social distancing measures and an optional no contact check in / check out, along with the InterContinental Hotel Group’s “Clean Promise” program of complete disinfecting for guest suites and public areas.  The full-clean of each suite includes sterilization using a special handheld electrostatic sprayer.

In addition, guests select the housekeeping schedule that best suits them, which means that their room will remain as undisturbed as they prefer during their stay.

“How we extend hospitality has changed, but one important thing remains the same – our complete commitment to our guests,” added Odongo.  “It’s why we offer the highest quality accommodations at the best possible price, in a decor that uniquely mixes downhome comfort with uptown contemporary style.”

The hotel in Duluth is the first Staybridge Suites in the country that uses the brand’s new “Next Generation 7.0” design scheme.  Public space has a wide-open vibe that caters to guests who want to social distance, while also providing areas to work or socialize.  Suites feature furniture that can be easily moved so guests can customize the space and make it their own.

Amenities at the new Staybridge Suites include a 49-inch smart television in every guest suite; a 24-hour business center; seasonal outdoor salt water pool with a patio, fireplace, and two barbeque grills; fitness center; a meeting room with 600 sq. ft. of flexible space; plus complimentary high-speed internet access and self-serve laundry.

For now, guests can enjoy a “grab and go” bagged breakfast.  As hygiene guidelines permit, the hotel plans to offer a full breakfast buffet and an evening social hour featuring a variety of gourmet-quality foods such as salads, soups, burgers, pizza, sliders, and tacos.

The Staybridge Suites uses the “Green Engage” program of innovative energy-efficient procedures and devices throughout, including appliances; LED lighting; low flow faucets / shower heads; HVAC management system; plus sustainable purchasing and recycling.
