Architecture & Design
The historic Denton Building was constructed in 1916 by prominent Cincinnati architect, Alfred Oscar Elzner. The renovation and adaptive re-use of this historic building breathed new life into a building that previously sat vacant. Kinley Cincinnati, honoring both Elzner’s and the city’s passion for art and history, is connecting visitors with the city of Cincinnati through its design, food & beverage, partnerships, and amenities.
Inspired by the connection to Cincinnati’s rich history and vibrant murals that define the landscape of the city, the design intent at Kinley Cincinnati – inclusive of colors, textures and illustrations – is a unique reflection of the community and the people and places therein, embodying the hospitality of its unique historic setting.
Bright colors and geometric patterns are layered over a neutral architectural base of down to earth materials. The varied, rich textures and historic elements reflect the local character of Cincinnati. The addition of thoughtful design materials such as mixed metals, bold fabrics, and modern touches transcends trends creating an authentic and unscripted experience.
Lobby & Guestrooms
Inspired by one of Cincinnati’s greatest neighborhoods, Kinley Cincinnati showcases 94 elegant guestrooms designed with guests in mind seamlessly blending inclusive sensibility, intuitive technology, and genuine charm. Blurring the lines between the neighborhood and the lobby, guests are welcomed by local artwork and a modern color palette of rich blue tones and warm gold hues. Led by Chefs Kevin Ashworth and Edward Lee, Kinley, Cincinnati Downtown’s restaurant Khora uses locally sourced ingredients to put a modern Midwest spin on classic recipes. Both intimate and communal, Khora organically transitions throughout the day, helping to shepherd the city’s rebirth as it grows into one of America’s great food cities.
