PARADISE ISLAND, BAHAMAS – June 15, 2021 – Tamir Shanel has been named Senior Vice President, Food & Beverage Operations of Atlantis Paradise Island.
Shanel’s hospitality career spans the globe with notable positions as Executive Vice President, Food & Beverage for The Stronach Group Racing and Gaming; Vice President of Food & Beverage at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore where he oversaw a team of 1,800 employees and earned recognition for his outstanding leadership; and Executive Director of Food & Beverage for The Venetian and Palazzo Resorts in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In his new role as Senior Vice President, Food & Beverage at Atlantis Paradise Island, Shanel will oversee the resort’s 40 restaurants, bars, and lounges, along with the re-opening and development of new concepts. He will also focus on the training, learning and development of the department’s team members.

A hospitality veteran with more than 25 years of experience, Shanel earned Hotel Management and Business degrees from Singapore Management University, Singapore, Wharton School of Business, Philadelphia, and Tadmor Hotel College, Israel. He earned certification as Sommelier from George Brown College, Toronto. Earlier in his career, Shanel held various positions that ranged from Director of Food & Beverage, Hotel Manager and Director of Catering at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Las Vegas, Nevada, Palm Beach, Florida and Toronto, Canada.
Shanel resides in The Bahamas. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, tennis and family time on the island.
