TORONTO, CANADA (October 15, 2021) – Cabot, developer and operator of luxury residential, resort and golf destinations, announced today that esteemed industry expert, David O’Donoghue, has been appointed Executive Vice President, Hospitality.
In this role, O’Donoghue will work closely with Cabot CEO and Co-founder Ben Cowan-Dewar to lead the growth of Cabot’s expanding portfolio of world-class destination golf resorts’ hospitality and club operations. He will provide guidance and leadership to property-level general managers and support them in delivering world-class service and a superior guest experience; lead the development of key operational and performance metrics; and oversee the opening plans for Cabot Saint Lucia and other properties as they come on stream.
The brand includes the award-winning Cabot Cape Breton resort in Nova Scotia, widely known as one of the best golf resorts in the world, the 375-acre Cabot Saint Lucia resort community in development on the northern tip of Saint Lucia, and the newly launched Cabot Revelstoke in British Columbia.
A strong and passionate leader with over 22 years of experience and a proven track record of delivering results, O’Donoghue most recently served as the president and chief executive officer for the Palmetto Bluff Development Company, a 20,000-acre development in Bluffton, South Carolina. Prior, O’Donoghue served as the senior vice president of operations at DMB Associates, Inc. in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he oversaw DMB’s portfolio of luxury resort and club communities.
O’Donoghue currently sits on the University of South Carolina Beaufort Board of Directors, the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy Board of Directors, and is a Travel Experience Council Member with the Urban Land Institute. He was born in Dublin, Ireland.
