CABO SAN LUCAS, MEXICO – November 5, 2021 – Occupying prime real estate along the coveted shores of Medano Beach in Cabo San Lucas is Corazón Cabo Resort & Spa, the newest addition to Noble House Hotels & Resorts’ elite collection. Slated to debut in early 2022, this $100 million reveal will feature a new-build tower with 204 rooms and suites, contemporary meeting space, the highest and most lavish rooftop bar in Cabo, two infinity edge pools, and various dining options. Currently, guests can experience the modern guestrooms, pools, lobby and posh rooftop bar, while next year’s grand reveal will encompass the complete unveiling including the signature restaurant and fresh meeting space.
In addition to the newly built tower and its amenities, guests also have access to pre-existing features enveloped into the Corazón Cabo Resort & Spa experience, including Baja Brewing, the only micro-brewery in Cabo San Lucas; Aleta, an oceanfront all-day dining destination; additional pools; full-service Sparitual and salon; and Corazón Beach Club, the largest beach club on Medano Beach, the only swimmable beach in Cabo San Lucas.
“This is Noble House’s first property in Mexico, and we felt it important to set a precedent within the region regarding the level of luxury and service that’s synonymous with our brand,” said Sean Mullen, president, acquisition, sales & revenue management for Noble House Hotels & Resorts. “The result is an impressive and exceptional experience from rooms to rooftop. Noble House properties are also known to cater to adventurers at heart, and the prime location of Corazón answers that call to a tee. From thrilling hydrofoil rides in the Sea of Cortez to delving into the mesmerizing culture of Los Cabos, the resort offers an extraordinary home base to explore this bucket list worthy destination.”
Standing nine stories high, the new Corazón Cabo Resort & Spa is topped off by Rooftop 360, which proudly holds the title of the highest rooftop bar in Cabo. The roomy and ritzy deck boasts unmatched views of the Sea of Cortez and enchanting city skyline, flanked by an infinity pool overlooking the sea. The bar evokes local charm with custom patterned cement tiles made in Todos Santos embellishing its façade, while string lights and chandeliers dangle from the signature, leaf-patterned pergola ceiling made of Palo-de-Arco, a material typically used in Baja.
The contemporary new build offers 187 hotel rooms and 17 luxury suites, ranging in size from 358 to 945 square feet. With an envious location where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean, the building’s design by Mexican architect Arnoldo Rábago of RACO is inspired by the surrounding nautical elements, playing upon clean modern lines to offer somewhat of a departure from the typical Cabo model.
The interiors showcase a joint effort between Carlita Alexander, noted for her design work for W Times Square and Las Vegas’ Cosmopolitan, and Sofía Idoate, who has led projects such as the signature restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton in Mexico City, Crown Hotel in Sydney and Dream Hotel Group condominiums in Atlanta. A timeless narrative throughout, the project draws influence from Mexico’s rich history, integrating cultural elements with luxurious amenities. Local craftsmen were tapped to utilize typical Baja materials and construction techniques that honor the regional identity with a contemporary, surprising twist.
Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors, bringing the outdoors in along with an unrivaled view of the iconic Land’s End landmark, Pacific Ocean, and city skyline. Local manufacturers created custom furniture and art pieces using textiles and natural finishes in a color palette inspired by the region for both interior and plush balcony furnishings.
The expansive lobby features a light and airy color palette with art gallery style seating showcasing one-of-a-kind Mexican artwork and gabion walls seemingly suspending rocks in mid-air. Nearby, the soon-to-be-unveiled Draque Mojito Bar offers indoor seating with eclectic vignettes and an inviting outdoor Cuban-inspired terrace to enjoy inventive cocktails. Just outside the lobby doors, an infinity pool gives way to a spectacular vantage point of the bay and arch, with a lively geometric pattern at the poolside bar blending into the changing natural light throughout the day.
Corazón Cabo Resort & Spa and its impressive collection of amenities will open in its entirety early 2022 with the completion of a signature restaurant, coffee bar and an additional 7,450 square feet of meeting space via the additions of a modern ballroom and boardrooms.
“No detail was spared in creating this truly one-of-a-kind and dynamic resort in the heart of Cabo San Lucas,” said Carlos Blanco, general manager, Corazón Cabo Resort & Spa. “From truly inspired room designs to the excitement of Rooftop 360, the resort is eager to welcome the tastemakers of travel who seek an elevated, authentic and memorable Los Cabos experience.”
