Dallas, TX — November 8, 2021 — Waramaug Hospitality, a privately held investment firm focused on premium-branded select-service and full-service hotels, announced today it acquired the Radisson Hotel Lansing at the Capitol in Lansing, Michigan.
The 256-room property is the only full-service hotel in downtown Lansing. It features an oversized lobby, onsite restaurant and bar, fitness center, two-story indoor pool, and over 10,000 square feet of meeting and function space. The second floor of the Radisson Hotel Lansing connects to the Lansing Center, the city-owned 125,000 square foot convention center.
“The Radisson fits well into our investment criteria,” said Craig Nussbaum, Senior Vice President, Waramaug Hospitality. “We are planning a comprehensive renovation of the property and conversion to a new brand, along with new management, which will ensure the hotel is the best in class in the Lansing market.”
The property is one block from the Michigan State Capitol building and in close proximity to Accident Fund Insurance, Sparrow Hospital, General Motors, Peckham Inc., and Auto Owners Insurance. Michigan State University is four miles away.
Waramaug is planning a complete renovation of the property and will re-launch as a Doubletree by Hilton upon completion. Terrapin Hospitality will be managing the asset. Nate Sahn, Executive Vice President of CBRE brokered the transaction.
