LOS ANGELES, CA – March 31, 2022 – Sensei, the leading wellness hospitality brand, will welcome guests at its highly-anticipated second location, Sensei Porcupine Creek, beginning November 1, 2022. This opening is the brand’s follow-up to its highly acclaimed debut property, Sensei Lāna’i, A Four Seasons Resort, which is located on the striking Hawaiian island of Lāna’i. Bringing its award-winning wellness retreat concept to the desert, Sensei will continue its commitment to wellbeing and immersing people in nature with Sensei Porcupine Creek. Set within the foothills of the Santa Rosa Mountains in Rancho Mirage, California, the 230-acre private estate with impeccable grounds has been transformed into the brand’s first standalone wellness, golf and tennis resort operated solely by Sensei. It is intended as a haven for an array of health-conscious spa and sport enthusiasts to come together in an intimate, luxurious setting with a common interest – to learn how to live a longer, healthier life long after the retreat ends. Bookings open today with a series of wellness packages available from flexible two-night stays to longer in-depth programs.

“Sensei is excited to offer leisure travelers the full expression of its brand through programs and services that support greater wellbeing at its resort in Rancho Mirage.  Immersed in nature, Sensei Porcupine Creek will provide a place for those who wish to discover more about healthier living, hone their sport performance, simply relax in an elegant setting, enjoy great cuisine, or indulge in therapeutic spa treatments,” said Kevin Kelly, CEO of Sensei. “While providing luxury hospitality, Sensei remains committed to science-led, curated offerings designed with the Sensei Way in mind – organized around the paths of movement, rest and nourishment.”

Intimate Wellness-Oriented Open Living Spaces

The resort offers 22 luxuriously appointed accommodations ranging from several conveniently located Estate House rooms, spacious Santa Rosa rooms and freestanding private villas. The ten Estate Rooms are crafted with the intention of erasing the boundaries between an inviting indoor sanctuary and a natural desert oasis. Meanwhile, four Santa Rosa Rooms gathered around a private courtyard offer a quiet respite with individual garden patios and heated spas. Eight standalone Villas offer a personal haven for privacy, set along the resort’s sprawling golf course and integrated into the natural environment. Each Villa features either two or four bedrooms and is equipped with a state-of-the-art kitchen, open-concept living and dining room, and adjacent outdoor porch.

Amenities Designed with Wellness in Mind

Located within a desert oasis that immerses guests within its natural surroundings, every amenity and design at Sensei Porcupine Creek encourages relaxation. As guests wander through the lush estate grounds, they can tour the world-class sculpture and art collection worthy of museum display.

Those looking to hone their golf and tennis skills will have the opportunity to play on the resort’s world-class golf course and tennis garden facilities, available exclusively for resort guests. The private 18-hole golf course features a series of beautiful lakes, streams and waterfalls with breathtaking views of the surrounding Santa Rosa mountains. The renowned golf course is so welcoming and private that guests don’t need to worry about scheduling a tee time. Additionally, Porcupine Creek’s Har-Tru and hard tennis courts were built to reflect the courts of the nearby Indian Wells Tennis Garden, which hosts the annual BNP Paribas Tennis Tournament. Both golf and tennis facilities were previously only used by top golf and tennis professionals and now will provide an opportunity for sports enthusiasts to either refine or learn new skills with the help of top wellness practitioners and sports professionals.

The premier fitness facilities offer inspiring and restorative environments with small group classes or one-on-one sessions. The Sensei Yoga Pavilion offers an idyllic setting for yoga and meditation classes while the Fitness Pavilion is equipped with industry leading Technogym equipment including cardio machines, strength and conditioning tools and space for functional training.

Meanwhile, those looking to focus on rest and rejuvenation can visit the spa and choose from a menu of relaxing massages, nourishing bodywork and customized facials. Four Garden Treatment Rooms open up to a private, tranquil garden with outdoor showers which allow for outdoor treatments to be performed. To relax even further, the resort’s lagoon-style pool offers an idyllic setting to escape the desert heat surrounded by the beautifully designed landscape.

A Private Nobu Dining Experience

Sensei Porcupine Creek will feature Sensei by Nobu, a collaboration between world-renowned Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Dr. David Agus. Open exclusively to retreat guests, the concept marries Nobu’s acclaimed and innovative cuisine with Sensei’s evidence-led approach to nutrition. The ever-changing menu is crafted with fresh ingredients that stay true to how nature delivers them with each meal designed to ignite the senses and provide optimal benefits.

Desert Activities
