FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – April 12, 2022 – Tim Horton, chief operating officer of Dimension Hospitality, a nationally recognized hotel management and development company, today announced the appointment of Breann Levinson to general manager of the Hyatt Regency Westlake, nestled in the scenic Canejo Valley just minutes from the beaches of Malibu and 35 minutes from downtown Los Angeles.
Levinson began her hospitality career at the Hyatt Regency Westlake as a catering and sales assistant, quickly climbing the ranks through food and beverage and hotel operations, ultimately earning a promotion to director of operations. During those 11 years, she transitioned the hotel from Hyatt-managed to franchise and oversaw 263 rooms and suites and 120-plus associates, earning numerous awards, including manager of the year, along the way. She returns to Westlake, and her hotel roots, following a very successful period of managing operations in several different markets across the country.
“Breann has steadily learned every aspect of hotel operations by taking chances and seizing opportunities to gain experience,” noted Horton. “Her well-rounded background and intimate knowledge of this property made her the ideal candidate for the general manager’s position, and we couldn’t be happier to have her back with us.”
“I’ve been fortunate to have great mentors who encouraged me to try new areas whenever there was an opportunity,” said Levinson. “I feel like I’m coming back to the place that raised me, and I’m eager to jump back in and start mentoring the next generation of motivated young hoteliers. I understand where we’ve been and where we’re going and will continue to navigate the course previously established. Now that meeting and event business is resuming, I’m looking forward to finally being able to showcase the gorgeous, multi-million dollar renovations to guest rooms, in addition to our meeting space that were completed before the pandemic as well as the recently upgraded fitness center.”
