PROVIDENCIALES, TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS – AUGUST 26, 2022 – Grace Bay Resorts, the developer and operator of luxury resorts and branded residences in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, announces the appointment of Franck Chantoiseau to general manager of Rock House, the first residential resort tucked into the rugged, untouched limestone cliffs of Providenciales’ north shore. Chantoiseau will provide day-to-day leadership and oversee operations of the new resort, which opened in May.

Franck Chantoiseau joins Rock House after spending five years with Aman Resorts, holding positions as resort manager at Amanyangyun in Shanghai, China; interim general manager at Aman Summer Place in Beijing, China; hotel manager at Amanpuri in Phuket, Thailand; and most recently, general manager at the Surin Phuket, a joint venture resort between Aman and YTL Hotels & Resorts in Phuket. During his time with Aman, Chantoiseau launched a new holistic wellness center and helped to conceptualize new beach restaurants at the Surin Phuket and Amanpuri. Previously, Chantoiseau worked at the Altira Hotel Macau, Melco Crown Entertainment as director of food and beverage (F&B), where the hotel was awarded a Michelin Star and 23 Forbes Stars in F&B during his tenure. Chantoiseau received an advanced diploma of business and hotel management from Williams Business College in Australia, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Robert Kennedy College in Zurich, Switzerland. Franck also holds a level II certification from the Wine & Spirit Sommelier Education Trust.

“With 20 years of experience working for some of the world’s most respected hospitality brands, Mr. Chantoiseau’s passion for luxury resorts is exceptional,” said Nikheel Advani, chief operating officer and principal of Grace Bay Resorts. “He will be an enormous asset to our already stellar team at Rock House and will elevate the resort even further.”

Inspired by glamorous, seaside destinations like the Amalfi Coast, Rock House is built directly into the cliffside of Providenciales’ north shore in Turks and Caicos, boasting spacious studios and freestanding homes. Designed by Coast Architects and AD100 designer Shawn Henderson (accommodations only), the modern yet warm homes, clad in bright white exteriors that create the Mediterranean vibe, include private pools and outdoor terraces, bathrooms with lush outdoor shower gardens, and floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize the drop-dead views of the island’s renowned turquoise water. Chic amenities include the largest infinity pool in Turks and Caicos; winding jogging trails; in-room spa treatments; and the serviced Beach Club at Rock House, reminiscent of beach clubs in Europe that includes a secluded white-sand beach sandwiched between limestone rock and calm ocean, a 120-foot jetty stretching into the Atlantic Ocean that becomes illuminated at night, and an oceanfront restaurant serving Adriatic cuisine.

“After welcoming its first guests in May, it’s clear that Rock House brings a completely new and highly desired resort experience to Turks and Caicos,” said Chantoiseau. “I look forward to contributing my years in luxury hospitality to the continued success of the cliffside resort.”
