Montepulciano, Italy – September 29, 2022 –  Borgo San Vincenzo, Tuscany’s newest luxury boutique hotel named for the patron saint of winemaking, has officially opened its doors.  The reimagined 18th century borgo sits in Southern Tuscany’s countryside in the prestigious Vino Nobile vineyards in Montepulciano, Italy, a place to connect meaningfully and authentically with one of the world’s most storied destinations.

Originally built 1780, Borgo San Vincenzo offers a wide variety of sophisticated wine-driven experiences, breathtaking UNESCO-protected vistas, and a fresh take on a traditional Tuscan design with luxurious comforts. Striving to preserve Montepulciano’s legacy of gracious hospitality, vineyards of the world’s best wines, rich tradition of culinary excellence and vibrant culture, the hotel is dedicated to connecting travelers with the people and moments that make Tuscany one of the most beloved regions.

“The opening of Borgo San Vincenzo marks the end of a year-long restoration project in which we collaborated with local architects, designers, and artisans to create a space that is welcoming, unpretentious and the perfect home base for exploring the region,” said Shannon Kircher, founder of Borgo San Vincenzo. “It is a project born out of love for hospitality and wine tourism and we look forward to welcoming guests for a truly unforgettable getaway in the heart of Tuscany.”

PRIVILEDGED LOCATION

Once owned by a count named Conte Bastogi, the Borgo’s main historic building was bombed in WWII and reconstructed in parts which can still be seen today. After extensive renovations and enhancements, the Borgo has been reimagined and caters to discerning travelers who want to experience the best that the countryside has to offer. The hotel is in a pristine setting surrounded by dreamy panoramas and landscapes in the Strada del Vino Nobile in the vineyards of Montepulciano, close to charming cobble stone street enclaves, medieval hilltop towns and within a two-hour drive from major cities like Rome, Pisa, and Florence.

TUSCAN LIFESTYLE

The hotel’s 21 luxury studios and suites are uniquely curated based on their property location and perfect for romantic getaways and family vacations. The Methusaleh deluxe studios are equipped with a king-sized bed, sitting area, spacious arrangements and expanded living spaces; the hotel’s one-bedroom Imperial suites offer extra space, with a full separate living room; Balthazar suites offer the most spacious setups and can be connected through the balconies for couples or families traveling together; Borgo’s only two-bedroom suite, the Nebuchadnezzaroffers a covered outdoor patio for al fresco moments. Exposed brick walls and wood ceiling beams are combined with warm tones, wood accents and ceramic floor tiles. Traditional modern furniture is mixed with thoughtful old and new décor elements which are accented by luxurious touches including Italian linens, and Acqua dell’Elba amenities.
