In her new role, Hamilton will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, including sales and marketing, food and beverage, hiring and training of new staff, and guest and employee satisfaction at the iconic 119-room boutique hotel.

With more than 17 years of experience, Maria Hamilton prides herself on having worked her way up through the hospitality industry ranks, building a successful career and reputation as a hands-on leader. She assumes the position of General Manager at the Inn on Fifth after serving as Resort Manager of the Jekyll Island Club Resort in Jekyll Island, Georgia, where she played a pivotal role in the property’s transition to ownership and management by Noble House Hotels & Resorts. Prior to that, Hamilton spent more than 15 years at LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort in Naples, where she held a variety of positions and earned numerous recognitions for outstanding leadership and service. During her time at LaPlaya, Hamilton worked as Lead Hostess, Front Desk Agent, Front Office Supervisor, Front Office Manager, Director of Housekeeping, and Director of Rooms, learning every aspect of operations at the private, beachfront resort.
