Miami, FL (March 30, 2023) – SH Hotels & Resorts, the sustainable hotel brand management company that operates 1 Hotels, Baccarat Hotels, and Treehouse Hotels, is pleased to announce Erik Eveleigh’s appointment as Vice President of Development (Americas). Eveleigh will leverage his extensive expertise in growing brands paired with a robust development network to spearhead new business opportunities for the company’s distinct portfolio of hotel brands, as well as provide expert oversight for development projects as the company pursues its expansion throughout the region.
With over a decade of experience in sourcing and executing mixed-use and luxury opportunities as a member of Hilton Inc.’s North American Luxury Team, Eveleigh brings exceptional expertise in brand positioning, planning and design, and project management. He successfully secured several luxury landmark assets for its North American portfolio, including the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas and Hotel Del Coronado. Eveleigh was at the company for 14 years collectively, previously holding positions on the Feasibility & Investment Analysis team and Supply Management team.

In his role, Eveleigh will leverage his established network of owners, development partners, and other third parties to drive growth, as well as lead the way in brand pitching and consultation, project feasibility, management negotiation, among others. Based in Los Angeles, Eveleigh will report directly to Abhay Bakaya, Senior Vice President of Development at SH Hotels & Resorts.
SH Hotels & Resorts is aggressively expanding its presence in North America, with new property launches and projects in development across several markets. 1 Hotels recently launched the highly anticipated 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay flagship property and is developing projects in Austin and Cabo San Lucas. The Baccarat Hotel & Residences brand is building on its New York presence with a Baccarat Residences project under development in Brickell, Miami. Treehouse Hotels will debut its first U.S. property in Sunnyvale later this year, followed by the Treehouse Hotel Brickell currently under development.
