Inaugural symposium to discuss issues of AI, self-sovereign identity and the future of HFTP Europe
Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) has announced the planned roundtable discussion topics set to be considered at its inaugural Digital Horizons 360 (DH360) Symposium next month in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
An invitation-only, non-sales event, DH360 will bring together dozens of hospitality leaders for roundtable discussions on the technologies set to have the biggest industry impact in Europe. This year’s topics include risk mitigation for AI in guest services, local- and globalized data protection challenges in hospitality, use cases for digital identity technologies and how HFTP can support hospitality finance and technology professionals in Europe. The resulting discussions will be recorded for posterity and future publication by event partner Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL).
Beyond the forums, Digital Horizons 360 will also play host to an installment of hospitality technology’s leading startup pitch competition Entrepreneur 20X (E20X), sponsored exclusively by Portuguese venture capital firm BAE Ventures.
Returning to the continent for the first time in five years, six promising small businesses will take the stage to present their trailblazing tools to a judging panel of industry experts.
The participating 2024 E20X Europe startups are:
- Aphy
- BonApp
- Crqlar
- Expect Me
- Rose Hospitality
- SoftBank Robotics (non-competing participant)
While all participants will receive USD 10,000 in payment processing credit from financial processing powerhouse and E20X Europe prize sponsor Stripe, the companies that impress the judges and audience of DH360 attendees most will be selected to receive the Judges’ and People’s Choice Awards respectively. This year’s Judges’ Choice winner will receive an additional USD 30,000 in fee-free processing credit from Stripe.
Applications to compete in the remaining two E20X contests at HITEC Charlotte and HITEC Dubai this June are available on the HITEC website with a deadline of March 15, 2024. For more information regarding the event, email e20x@hftp.org.
