With an illustrious career spanning over 20 years in the hospitality industry, Mr. Oba brings a wealth of experience and an unwavering commitment to excellence to his new role.
Prior to his distinguished tenure in Bangkok, Mr. Oba held key executive positions at various Peninsula locations across Asia, showcasing his leadership skills and commitment to excellence. His journey includes pivotal roles such as General Manager at The Peninsula Manila, Hotel Manager at The Peninsula Hong Kong, Resident Manager at The Peninsula Tokyo, and Executive Assistant Manager of Food & Beverage at The Peninsula Shanghai.
A proud graduate of the Japan Hotel School and the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne’s Hotel Management Program, Masahisa Oba brings over 20 years of invaluable experience in the hotel industry. Remarkably, 17 of those years have been dedicated to The Peninsula Hotels, highlighting his deep-rooted commitment to the brand.
Mr. Oba brings a diverse skill set to his role, underlined by his expertise in hotel management. His personal interests include wine, travel, and a strong passion for football, both as a player and enthusiast.
