NEW YORK, NY – March 4, 2024 – Domes, the Mediterranean’s fastest-growing hospitality and lifestyle brand, has announced the upcoming opening of its newest luxury hotel, Domes Novos Santorini, which is set to welcome guests beginning in April 2024. The design-led, family-friendly resort will feature 50 luxuriously-appointed suites and two villas, each complete with its own private pool and terrace, offering unrivaled views of Santorini’s famed sunsets on the Aegean Sea and picturesque local vineyards.

Situated on the island’s northwestern coastline in the Tholos region, which aptly translates to domes, the hotel sits away from the typically trodden paths and contrasts with the saturated cliff-fronts. Domes’ vision is to offer an unhurried and understated destination with spacious suite and villa accommodations set back from the coastline, and the space to create more authentic exploration and connection with the hyperlocal community and environment, without the crowds.

In the presence of storied sunsets, each moment is a communion with Santorini. In a heavenly ballet, the golden peach dusk brings a spectacle whispering of calm and peace. From private pool suites, witness the sun dip into the horizon, feel the day’s cares dissolve, replaced by a sense of rejuvenation. This is not just a retreat; each day’s end promises the dawn of new, or Novos, beginnings.

Culinary experiences are a signature element of the Domes brand, with Novos Santorini being no exception. The hotel offers a plethora of interactive and culturally-charged experiences, including vineyard tours and tastings, workshops with winemakers, and immersive cooking lessons. Onsite, epicurean lovers can revel in Domes’ new restaurant Vatanee, led by visionary and Head Chef Dionysis Anastopoulos, who strives to bring people closer together through his cooking with mezes, fine-dining and fresh seasonal ingredients, handmade alipastas, pickles and cured meats – dishes inspired by Greek tradition, land and sea.

Similar to all Domes’ properties, wellness is a central component and guests can unwind in the exclusive Soma Spa with traditional Greek spa rituals combined with contemporary methods and volcanic-infused treatments. Guests may re-energize in the state-of-the-art gym and underground indoor pool, or indulge in holistic moments of yoga and meditation around the onsite grapevine gardens.

Kiros Pagkalidis Architects fused Cycladic luxury with a sustainable approach, using local materials like volcanic stone and blonde oak to curate a sophisticated and neutral palette of terracotta, fresh whites and ashy greys, punctuated with indoor/outdoor spaces for an airy atmosphere. Acclaimed designer Olivia Siskou led the resort’s interior spaces, adding local touches to the setting, while Fytron Landscapes and George Petsagkourakis designed the overall landscape.

Domes Novos Santorini kicks off this year’s launches ahead of 91 Athens Riviera opening this summer, and follows 2023’s openings in Halkidiki, Milos and Mykonos to its current portfolio of now 11 hotels.
