Denver (July 23, 2024) – The Strand, Turks and Caicos, a new luxury oceanfront residential resort opening in fall 2024, is pleased to announce the appointments of Frits Hannenberg as general manager and Jenny Hannenberg-Feig as hospitality manager.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Frits and Jenny to The Strand’s opening team,” says John Fair, managing director of The Strand. “Not only are they a powerful hospitality duo and husband and wife team with unmatched expertise in ultra-luxury resorts on the island and throughout the region, but they bring a keen dedication to fostering a welcoming and personalized community for our guests and homeowners, which will further set The Strand apart upon opening this fall.”

As a leader in opening and positioning five-star resorts and private islands for more than 20 years, Hannenberg brings a human-focused, solution-oriented approach to his work, whether he’s implementing innovative, bespoke guest experiences, leading and training staff, or delivering the highest level of service to discerning guests and private owners.

Most recently, Hannenberg served as managing director of The Abaco Club, the Bahamas’ most exclusive community. Prior, he led Frégate Island Private (Seychelles), Mustique Island (St. Vincent and the Grenadines), The Shore Club (Turks and Caicos) and the flagship LUX* Grand Gaube (Mauritius).

“Jenny and I are thrilled to be back on Turks and Caicos, which holds a special place in our family’s heart, and to be working with such a unique property that will set the stage for luxury, sustainable resorts in the Caribbean for years to come,” says Frits Hannenberg, general manager. “We look forward to bringing our 40-plus years of combined hospitality expertise and lived experience working with luxury resorts and private islands to The Strand—and bringing to life an experience like nothing else in the world.”

As hospitality manager of The Strand, Hannenberg-Feig oversees all guest-focused services. Her detail-driven, attentive, and energetic approach ensures every homeowner and guest receives the highest level of care from the moment of arrival, from pre-arrival groceries and tailored itineraries to arranging special culinary events and private boat charters. Hannenberg-Feig also oversees front of the house departments, including concierge and reservations and streamlining hospitality services and training.

Set to become one of the most sustainable resorts in the Caribbean, the property’s luxury accommodations are perched above the water’s edge and offer single-bedroom Suites, multi-bedroom Villas, and expansive Private Residences. Community amenities will include beach access, a full-service spa, water’s edge restaurant and bar, The Beach and Racquet Club, “Maestro in Residence” program, a kids’ club, numerous water sport rentals, and 1,400 feet of canal and marina frontage with access to The Strand’s very own Club Boat with private captain.
