(Denver, Colo.) – October 2, 2024 – Sheraton Denver Downtown, Denver’s largest and recently renovated 1,238-room hotel, announces several exciting updates at the property this fall, starting with the appointment of Siiri Lobe as the new Director of Sales and Marketing. Lobe brings 20+ years of hospitality experience to the leadership role and will develop and oversee group sales and marketing for the property. Additionally, the Sheraton Denver Downtown is proud to have received three prestigious industry awards over the last quarter thanks to the work of its stellar team and the impressive renovation including Smart Meetings Smart Star 2024 Award, Cvent’s highly coveted Top 250 Meeting Hotels list and a Western Region Hotel of the Year award presented by Marriott International.

“It’s a very exciting time at the Sheraton Denver Downtown with the recent addition of a new Director of Sales and Marketing and some well-deserved accolades from our industry partners,” said Tony Dunn, General Manager for the Sheraton Denver Downtown. “We are thrilled that our total renovation has solidified us as one of Denver’s largest and most impressive downtown properties and these are great reminders that our collective efforts pay off in attracting the best talent.”

Siiri Lobe, who will serve as the newly appointed Director of Sales and Marketing, is a results-driven sales leader with 20 years of hospitality and group sales experience. Most recently, she spent the last seven years in San Antonio as the Director of Group Sales for the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter & Riverwalk, a dual property complex of hotels where she had record-breaking numbers and led the property through the pandemic and a $100 Million renovation. She started her career in hospitality at the Chicago Marriott Downtown on the Magnificent Mile and happened upon hotels through her work in large-scale event production and design.

“Denver has always been one of my favorite places so joining the award-winning Sheraton Denver Downtown team is a dream come true for myself and my family,” said Lobe. “I believe a strong team with a dynamic leader is critically important and pride myself on fostering an inclusive culture where my team is empowered and feels recognized and supported. I believe this team and property is among the best in the country and together we are poised for continued success as Denver’s top meetings hotel.”

The Sheraton Denver Downtown has long been known for its stellar team and unparalleled meeting and event experiences and is proud to have recently received several prestigious awards from industry partners and publications. Earlier this year, the property was named a 2024 “Top City Hotel” by Smart Meetings Magazine’s Smart Star Awards. It also was named one of the Western Region Hotels of the Year by Marriott International thanks to its high ranking across all categories. Most recently, CVENT named the Sheraton Denver Downtown a Top 250 Meeting Hotels in North America (cvent.com), receiving a ranking of #33 on the prestigious list.

“These accolades serve to reinforce the great work we are doing at this property—and with the addition of Siiri Lobe, I am confident we will continue to deliver on the strong legacy we have established as downtown Denver’s top hotel,” added Dunn.
