Feb. 24–A sudden surge in business has left the Golden Nugget Atlantic City looking to immediately hire additional staff.
The casino will host an emergency job fair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and is seeking candidates would could begin work as soon as this weekend.
All support-level positions are being filled, including dealers, slot attendants, cocktail servers, valet, cage cashiers and front desk attendants among others, said Executive Vice President and General Manager Tom Pohlman.
“During a time when most business are scaling back on labor, we are seeing a significant increase in volume,” Pohlman said. “We are experiencing volumes that are greater than what we were seeing last summer.”
Pohlman said the casino has seen a significant volume increase over the past month, and is looking for workers who can begin immediately.
The job fair will take place in the Newport Room located on the casino’s fourth floor by the Wine and Wifi lounge.
