NEW YORK, NY (March 4, 2014) ā The iconic New Yorker Hotel today announced its rebrand with worldwide Wyndham Hotels and ResortsĀ® as it becomes the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel. Formerly a Ramada franchise; the new, New Yorker Hotel will operate under the prestigious flag of the renowned hotel brand.
As the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel embraces the new partnership, it also embarks on a fresh look with the rollout of a five-year, multi-million dollar renovation that will modernize the 1,083-room property including the hotelās exterior, 114 guestrooms (additional rooms slated for 2015 and 2016), revamped ballroom facilities and meeting space as well as upgraded food and beverage outlets. The objective of the new look and renovation is to reposition the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel as one of the cityās largest hotels and emerging as a true leader within the corporate and social function spaces.

To carry out the renovation plans and new vision for the property, Peterson welcomed a new management team to rebuild various departments. As part of the turnaround process, Peterson brought in John Yazbeck, Director of Sales and Marketing; Frank Cear, Director of Finance, Barry Rauch, Director of Operations; Will Reed, Director of Information Technology; and Ray Gronau, Director of Human Resources to lead each respective department within the hotel.
Prior to joining The New Yorker Hotel team, Peterson served as area general manager for Crescent Hotels and Resorts in Minnesota. During her 34 years in the hospitality industry, Peterson has worked for several major hospitality brands including Omni Berkshire, Crowne Plaza Times Square and the Intercontinental Hotels Group.
