FORT LAUDERDALE, FL- April 23, 2014 – Hilton Worldwide today announced that John Allan has joined the company as general manager of Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. In his role, Allan will be responsible for overseeing the quality and service brand standards for the property managing over 200 team members at the award-winning, 25-story, all-suite flagship property and resort, which recently installed wind turbines and is committed to environmental sustainability practices and initiatives.
Allan brings over twenty years of hospitality leadership experience as he returns to Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort as general manager. He started his career with Hilton in food and beverage at the Fontainebleau Hilton Resort and Towers. Early on, Allan was instrumental in establishing Shula’s Steak Houses as a nationally recognized brand growing the organization from two restaurants to over thirty locations in most major markets.
Allan most recently held the position of general manager of Hyatt Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He also was previously part of the Hilton family as hotel manager at GALLERYone, a Doubletree by Hilton all-suite resort on the Intracoastal in Fort Lauderdale.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Allan is a graduate of Florida International University’s School of Hospitality Management. He currently resides in Fort Lauderdale.
