June 24–A permit filed Monday with the city of Abilene shows a new hotel — a Courtyard by Marriott/Towneplace Suites — will be built at 2012 Scottish Road in Abilene. The location is just off U.S. Interstate 20. Scottish Road connects to East Stamford Street.
According to the city of Abilene’s website, the work will be done by Ebco General Contractors of Cameron. The city’s building inspection site lists a total of $8.92 million in planned construction.
