December 1, 2014 – PORTLAND, Maine – The Portland Harbor Hotel recently announced the hiring of Aaron Black as General Manager of the property and its restaurant, Eve’s at the Garden. In addition, Black serves as General Manager to Inn at Diamond Cove and Diamond’s Edge Restaurant & Marina, which will reopen in spring 2015.
Black brings more than a decade of luxury hotel leadership experience with him to the Portland Harbor Hotel. Most recently, Black was General Manager of Topnotch Resort and Spa in Stowe, Vermont, a 120-acre luxury property where he also oversaw the hotel’s recent renovations.
Prior to Topnotch Resort, Black was Hotel Manager of the Four Seasons Hotel in St. Louis, the first AAA Five Diamond Award-winning hotel in Missouri, after spending nearly fifteen years at Four Seasons hotels and resorts in Silicon Valley, Maui and Toronto.
While in Vermont Black served on the board of the New England Inn and Resort Association. He earned his BA in economics from University of PEI.
