Hamilton Island 27 January 2015 – McLaren Technologies, Asia Pacific’s leading provider of SaaS based technology solutions for the hospitality industry, has completed an installation project on Australia’s iconic Whitsunday Islands destination, Hamilton Island.
McLaren consulted with Hamilton Island to update telecommunications at the resort, installing two market leading systems – BroadSoft Hospitality’s JAZZ Fusion Call Accounting and DuVoice Guest and Administration Voicemail.
McLaren Technologies Managing Director, Mathew White, said, “Hamilton Island is a perfect example of a diverse and dynamic destination working smarter to maximise the full benefits of these two different but complementary technology products.”
“As Hamilton Island offers such a wide range of accommodation and venue options from beachfront hotels and holiday homes to luxury resorts like qualia, they can truly harness the power of JAZZ and DuVoice to integrate calls and voice applications across a single property as well as the broader building based network across the island.”
JAZZ Fusion software provides cloud based, call accounting services and voice application integration, personalising voice services and prices to suit different guest objectives and destination experiences. JAZZ provides a single point of integration regardless of the interface requirements, working across combinations of traditional switched voice service and voice over internet (VOIP) service devices.
The DuVoice web console for staff allows intuitive guest room wakeup calls and other telecommunications and call device features to be managed via web browser.
Mr White added, “Unified messaging is also a great benefit of DuVoice. Hamilton Island staff can now receive their voice mail messages directly on their PDA or PC, increasing communication, productivity and agility in the workplace.”
Situated on the Great Barrier Reef, Hamilton Island is one of Australia’s most famous tourist destinations. Hamilton Island Enterprises (HIE) owns the lease on the island and manages all resort facilities, in addition to communications access and technology delivery for its guests, island residents and its own business.
Hamilton Island Enterprises CEO Glenn Bourke said McLaren was selected because of the impressive and proven portfolio of product they offer clients.
“Due to the geographical location of Hamilton Island, we have always been progressive in terms of seeking out and investing in innovative technology solutions, both in front and behind the scenes. For Hamilton Island, it is vital we work with like-minded solution-based companies like McLaren to ensure our guests have comparable if not superior service and technology to what they might find on the mainland.”
Mr White further said, “Hamilton Island is a market leader in the hospitality world, and has shown that it’s forward thinking philosophy extends to technology and guest experience also.”
“McLaren has assisted with delivering a new infrastructure redesigning the way Hamilton Island manages calls and voice applications, and we are confident that JAZZ and DuVoice will revolutionise the island’s communications. Ultimately, this new messaging technology and web console will allow staff to be more productive and connected, and for Hamilton Island to maintain and improve its overall guest experience.”
