MINNEAPOLIS (March 4, 2015) – Carlson Rezidor Hotel Groups, one of the world’s largest and most dynamic hotel groups, announced the companies top performers of 2014 at its annual Americas Business Conference last week.

“We take this opportunity to celebrate and honor the outstanding people and hotels that make Carlson Rezidor so special by connecting with our customers,” said Javier Rosenberg, chief operating officer, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, Americas.” Rosenberg was joined by David Berg, Carlson’s chief operating officer, as they cited the impressive accomplishments and customer accolades for the 2014 award winners.

Four people earned 2014 Employee of the Year awards for their dedication, passion and commitment to unrivalled customer service. The winners include: Su Carpenter, a restaurant server at the Radisson Hotel Corning in Corning, N.Y.; T. J. James, a front desk supervisor at the Park Inn by Radisson, Sharon, Penn.; Carrie Poepping, a housekeeping room attendant at the Country Inn & Suites Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn.; and housekeeping supervisor Maria Stickney of the Radisson Blu Mall of America.

The 2014 General Manager of the Year award went to three leaders who have driven strong financial results, guest satisfaction and community involvement at their properties. The 2014 winners include: Eric Bourdales of the Radisson Poliforum Plaza Hotel Leon, Harry Gorstayn of the Radisson Blu Mall of America and Dipi Sawhney of the Country Inn & Suites, State College, Penn.

Earning the 2014 Hotel of the Year award were the Radisson Poliforum Plaza Hotel Leon and Country Inn & Suites, Covington, La. Both hotels had impressive performance in 2014. The Covington hotel had Revenue Generation Index (RGI) scores of 126.3, an increase of 10.6 points over the prior year, and a 9.25 Guest Satisfaction Index driven by a 9.54 Service Index. A two-time winner of the Responsible Business award with strong roots in the community, the Radisson Poliforum Plaza had a Guest Satisfaction Index of 9.06 in 2014.
