Series A Financing to Accelerate Adoption of Personalized Travel Discovery Solutions

AUSTIN, TEXAS – May 20, 2015 – WayBlazer, a leader in intelligent discovery for the travel and leisure industry, today announced it has raised $5 million in Series A funding led by The Entrepreneurs’ Fund (TEF) and IBM, with participation from Gobi Partners. The investment will allow the company to expand the development of its growing catalog of travel discovery solutions, accelerate sales and speed the delivery of their solutions into the marketplace.

Founded in February 2014, the privately held company is based in Austin, Texas, and is led by seasoned travel and technology entrepreneurs, which include Terry Jones, WayBlazer chairman, founder of Travelocity, founding chairman of Kayak.com and, Felix Laboy, CEO and previous president of Sabre Hospitality Solutions, co-founder of E-site Marketing, a preeminent hospitality Internet marketing service company acquired by Sabre Holdings. To date, WayBlazer has been focused on gaining customer adoption and validating the company’s innovative vision for personalized travel discovery solutions across major brands in hotels, cruises, travel publications and destination marketing organizations.
