Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. (September 11, 2015) – Terranea Resort, A Destination Hotel, is pleased to announce $9 million of capital enhancements, completed summer 2015. The 102-acre property added a fourth guest pool, as well as a VIP lounge and other aesthetic improvements.
Terranea Resort’s new Vista Pool that opened August 14, joins three existing guest pools at Terranea Resort. Located adjacent to Terranea’s signature restaurant mar’sel, the Vista Pool is open to guests ages 13 and older, and offers magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean as well as food and beverage services and a relaxing atmosphere. The saltwater pool and Jacuzzi are the perfect oasis for guests who are looking for a quiet place to soak up the California sun.
Terranea’s additional guest pools include the Spa Pool, for guests 18 years and older to further unwind before and after spa treatments; Cielo Point Pool, for a casual adults-only atmosphere with its own sandy beach; and the Resort Pool, with a 140-foot water slide and Splash Zone for families.
As Los Angeles’ premier oceanfront resort, Terranea has completed numerous soft renovations to ensure a luxurious stay for guests. All 582 guestrooms, suites, bungalows, casitas and villas throughout the resort were refreshed with new carpeting and select furniture elements, and each room now features amenities from L’Occitane’s Mer & Mistral collection. Additionally, Terranea redesigned its Lobby Bar and Lounge, and the San Nicolas Suite was transformed into an exclusive VIP Lounge. The resort also recently added new equipment to its 50,000 square-foot spa and fitness center, including a Technogym Kinesis Wall, a Peak Pilates Reformer and several Technogym Cardio Machines.
Terranea’s lobby suites have been revamped with rustic ceramic flooring, fresh paint, fabrics, and details that reflect the laid-back, Mediterranean style of the resort. The suites embody the luxury lifestyle of the resort, each fully equipped with modern furniture and amenities, an in-room bar and specialty Dean and Deluca refreshments for guests to enjoy throughout the stay.
“As we continue to build our legacy as an iconic LA resort, we are excited to provide these new enhancements to the property,” said Terranea’s President Terri A. Haack. “Each of these elements will enrich the overall resort experience, which we’re looking forward to guests enjoying in the coming years.”
Opened in 2009, Terranea has since become one of Southern California’s leading destination resorts. Minutes from the bustle of Los Angeles, the private peninsula paradise is the perfect getaway for locals and visitors alike. The resort’s distinct and different elements, from its coastal setting to its Mediterranean atmosphere and architecture, create a world class escape for guests.
