Caroline Wilmot brings 20+ years experience to new Key Largo resort’s luxurious Ocean Spa
KEY LARGO, FL – September 17, 2015 – Playa Largo Resort & Spa, the newest addition to Marriott International’s Autograph Collection, is proud to announce the appointment of Caroline Wilmot as Spa and Wellness Director for its Ocean Spa, set to open in winter 2016.
In her new role, Wilmot will oversee the development of all of Ocean Spa’s wellness programs, create inventive spa treatments, manage the salon, fitness, kids club and spa personnel, as well as oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility to ensure a world-class spa experience. Ocean Spa will consist of six treatment rooms total, with one couples’ room, three manicure and pedicure stations and two hair stations, as well as a kids’ club and state-of-the-art fitness center.
“At Ocean Spa, we embrace our phenomenal location and utilize every available space at the resort to create a unique experience for our guests from sunrise and sunset yoga classes held on the waterfront to offering handmade body scrubs from our Body Bar using local organic ingredients and scents such as Mojito Salt Scrub, Awaken Coffee Scrub, Coconut Sugar Scrub, Ocean Dew and Bamboo Scrub,” explains Wilmot.
Born in the U.K., Wilmot moved to Chicago in 2001 where she became an active member of the spa and wellness industry, serving as the Membership and Operations Director for The Spa at Trump International Hotel & Tower, a Forbes five-star and AAA Five-Diamond luxury hotel spa in the Windy City. A seasoned pro in building spa and wellness programs from the ground up, Wilmot looks forward to developing Playa Largo’s spa offerings and launching the Ocean Spa brand to make it a household name.
Wilmot began her spa career with Steiner, a spa operator for Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Disney Cruise Line and more. She was also the Assistant Club Manager at Holmes Place Health Club in Chicago where she helped expand the Holmes brand in the U.S. market through targeted media relations and exclusive member events.

Playa Largo Resort & Spa is the first new resort built on Key Largo in more than 20 years.
