OCTOBER 19, 2015 (MAUI, HAWAII) – Richard A. Holtzman, Vice President, Managing Director of Montage Kapalua Bay has announced the appointment of Catherine Hutchison as Director of Sales and Marketing. Hutchison is a Montage veteran, and in her new role she oversees all sales and marketing efforts for Maui's premier oceanfront resort. Her responsibilities include prospecting new business domestically and internationally, building and maintaining relationships with travel professionals across the industry, and facilitating and personalizing the resort's guest experience. Before arriving at Montage Kapalua Bay, Hutchison served as Director of Travel Industry Sales at Montage Deer Valley in Park City, Utah. As a member of the resort's opening sales team in 2010, she established and sustained key partnerships with top consortia, including Fine Hotels and Resorts, tour operators and online travel agencies to achieve revenue goals. She also led the travel industry sales team to meet their goals; trained front-of-house and operations teams in amenity programs, consortia partnerships and rate strategies; and much more. Meanwhile, she volunteered at Peace House and was part of the International Marketing Committee for the Park City Chamber/CVB. Prior to joining Montage Hotels and Resorts, Hutchison was with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, first as Leisure Sales Manager for The Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott, Orlando Grande Lakes in Florida, then in the same position for The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch in Avon, Colorado. California born, Hutchison grew up on the east coast. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Psychology and English at Duke University.
