MIAMI BEACH, Fla.—January 14, 2015—Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach today announced the appointment of Patrick Morey as food and beverage director, responsible for creating exceptional experiences in all food service operations for the hotel, including its dining outlets, Oasis Grill and The Drawing Room.
Morey has more than 15 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, most recently serving as director of restaurants and bars at Boca Raton Resort and Club. “Patrick is the perfect fit to lead our teams because he is committed to culinary excellence,” said Amaury Piedra, general manager, Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach. “He is an experienced leader with a diverse background in hospitality food and beverage operations and will bring a fresh take on dining to the hotel.”
Located in the heart of South Beach’s Art Deco District, Shelborne Wyndham Grand puts a premium on customer service, striving to make each guest’s stay incomparable – from the vintage Art Deco design and retro-chic feel to the essence of contemporary luxury. An iconic Miami landmark, Shelborne was transformed into the Shelborne Wyndham Grand in 2014 following a $150 million revitalization and redesign.
Previously, Morey served as regional director of Rosa Mexicano, in Miami, Fla. He has also held the role of vice president of operations at Weston Dining Group in Broward County, Fla. and served as operating partner at New York Prime/Rare Las Olas, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
