Santa Monica, Calif.—Shore Hotel, the leader in sustainability among Santa Monica's luxury hotels, announces the appointment of Gerald Peck as general manager and Lucy Zatloukal as director of sales to its executive team. Peck and Zatloukal bring more than three decades of combined experience in the luxury hotel business, including success at impressive brands in the California market.
“The four-year-old property has consistently been regarded as one of the best hotels in Santa Monica and we know that Gerry and Lucy will bring the expertise and experience Shore Hotel needs to further our commitment to maintaining such high standards,” says COO Steve Farzam.
Peck began his career at Shore Hotel in May 2013 as the director of finance. Prior to joining the Hotel, Peck was with the Joie de Vivre hotel group as multi-property controller at Custom Hotel and Pacific Edge Hotel, and with Palisades Hospitality in various positions including corporate controller and concluding his time with the company as general manager of Palihouse Holloway. Prior to Joie de Vivre, Peck held various controller positions with notable brands such as KOR Hotels, Rim Hospitality, and Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. He holds an MBA from The Paul Merage School of Business at University of California, Irvine, and a BBA in Accounting from University of Washington, Seattle and resides in Hawthorne, Calif. with his wife and two of their children.
Zatloukal previously was the director of sales at the Avalon Beverly Hills for the last two years. Newly this year she was also over seeing Avalon Palm Springs. Prior to the Avalon Properties, Zatloukal was with the Fairmont Miramar, Santa Monica, as director of national accounts in the sales department, and as the regional account executive for Gansevoort Hotel Group and part of the opening team of Gansevoort Park Avenue in New York City. Zatloukal began her hospitality career with the Viceroy Group in Santa Monica as a catering coordinator and over the five years with the company, Zatloukal quickly moved up within the organization concluding her time there as an area sales manager for their three properties in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business at USC and resides in Marina Del Rey with her husband and six-month-old daughter.
