March 7, 2016 – sbe Hotel Group, the Los Angeles-based leading lifestyle hospitality company that develops, manages and operates award-wining hospitality venues, announces the appointment of Jason Hsiang as Senior Vice President of Development. With over 15 years of hotel development and acquisition experience, Jason Hsiang will work in this newly created role to strengthen the company’s development efforts and continue the commitment to grow sbe branded hotels & residential projects. In this new role, Hsiang will oversee the expansion of all sbe hotel brands including SLS, SLS LUX, Hyde and Redbury. In addition, Hsiang will actively pursue management contracts and investment opportunities throughout the United States and select international markets.
Hsiang brings the highest level of expertise to sbe Hotel Group and will serve as a vital team member as sbe’s hotel group continues its immense expansion including 17 projects under development or in late stage negotiations, which will add over 2,700 keys and 2,800 residences to the existing hotel count of seven properties. In addition, Hsiang will help with the evolution of the SLS and Hyde brands as they expand the marketplace for mixed-use properties, the first for sbe planned as SLS Brickell to debut summer 2016.

Prior to joining sbe, Hsiang served as Senior Vice President of Development at SIXTY Hotels. Hsiang previously held senior development roles at Commune Hotels and Resorts and Morgans Hotel Group along with real estate acquisition positions at Northstar Capital Investment Corp and Lazard Freres Real Estate Investors.
