NEW YORK, March 9, 2016 –The New York City landmark hotel The Knickerbocker, located at the edge of Times Square and near Bryant Park, announces the appointment of Shawn Hauver as the new Managing Director. In this role, Hauver will be responsible for driving overall operations and guest satisfaction of the luxury hotel’s 330 guestrooms, signature restaurant and bar Charlie Palmer at The Knick, rooftop bar St. Cloud, ground level café, Jake’s and 2,200-square-foot event space.

Hauver assumes this position immediately and has already stepped into the role of overseeing all aspects of the hotel operations.

Most recently, the 30-year hospitality veteran served as Vice President Operations for the East Coast region for Loews Hotel and Resorts overseeing operations and profitability across nine properties throughout New York City, Boston, Washington D.C. as well as Canada. In Hauver’s 16-year tenure with Loews Hotels and Resorts, he also held various executive leadership positions including Area Manager, Managing Director and Hotel Manager at Loews Miami Beach Hotel, earning the property a top spot on Travel + Leisure’s “Top 500 Hotels in the World.” Prior to his work with Loews Hotels and Resorts, Hauver held multiple food and beverage related roles with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts.
