The Colony, Texas (March 24, 2016) – Crescent Hotels & Resorts will manage the new Courtyard by Marriott hotel, scheduled to open this spring and round out the three hotel options co-located on a single campus conveniently positioned next to the Cascades Events Center in The Colony.
Crescent Hotels & Resorts manages over 100 hotels and resorts in the U.S. and Canada, including all three hotels on this campus. And Jackson-Shaw is the developer of the 100-acre, master-planned development of The Cascades at the Colony, which encompasses the hotel campus.
The Courtyard will have 128 guest rooms and three meeting areas in a boutique environment with engaging technology and luxurious amenities, including PURE allergy-friendly rooms, a new bistro restaurant with a full bar, the same catering that has become a favorite among corporate and social events alike at the Cascades Events Center, a garden with water feature and fire pit, and a designated park-wide trail system.
Other hotel options on the campus include the Fairfield Inn & Suites, which is ideal for group accommodations with 6,400 square feet of on-site meeting space across five meeting areas, and is directly connected to the Cascades Events Center; and the Residence Inn, which offers more than 100 executive suites in a home-like atmosphere that is specifically designed to restore and sustain the physical, mental, and emotional energy of the business traveler.
Together, these hotels make up the Cascades Marriott Campus at The Colony, situated between the North Dallas Tollway and Interstate 35, and at a major intersection of the newly improved Highway 121 Tollway from McKinney to the DFW Airport.
“This mixture of retail and hospitality is designed to provide almost every desired amenity on site, and perfectly positioned for easy access to almost anywhere in the Dallas Metroplex,” said Michael George, Chief Executive Officer of Crescent Hotels & Resorts. “The continued development of this campus is not only a benefit for travelers to The Colony, but is also of great value to locals – from everyday dining, to catering and meeting space options at both the Courtyard and Fairfield Inn, and of course, access to the Cascades Events Center.”
The Fairfield Inn and Residence Inn are open and accepting reservations. The new Courtyard is expected to open in mid-April, and is now accepting reservations. More information is available at the new website www.cascadesatthecolony.com.
Tours available for media upon request. Any visits before April may be hard hat tours, so please plan to dress accordingly (e.g. flat, closed-toe shoes).
