ORLANDO, Fla. – April 1, 2016 – Waldorf Astoria Orlando, a premier hotel surrounded by Walt Disney World® Resort, has appointed Sean McCarron as general manager. With over 15 years of experience in luxury hotel management, McCarron will oversee the day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring every guest experiences renowned True Waldorf Service from the moment of check-in at the 498-room, 42,000 square foot property.

In his new position, McCarron will manage operations for the luxury hotel, leading an executive team to exceed property goals by promoting personal growth among hotel staff and implementing strategic plans for the property’s future development. While the Waldorf Astoria Orlando is already well known as a top leisure and meetings destination, McCarron will continue to build upon the property’s high-touch guest relations and the Waldorf Astoria brand cornerstones of Authentic Moments, Unforgettable Experiences and Inspirational Environments. He will also help develop initiatives that leverage the hotel’s proximity to major Orlando attractions as well as guest access to all services and amenities at the connected Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek.
Well-matched to the Waldorf Astoria Orlando’s culinary reputation, McCarron’s hospitality career began in gastronomy, where he held various managerial food and beverage positions at The Ritz Carlton properties in Atlanta, Boston and Pentagon City. He later took on the role of banquet director at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta before serving as director of food and beverage at both the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago and Boston. Translating his experience into operations, McCarron was then promoted to hotel manager at the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore and most recently served as hotel manager at the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas.
McCarron received a degree in hotel management from the Instiitut Hotelier Cesar Ritz – Hotel Consult, Le Bouveret, Switzerland.
An avid foodie, McCarron also plays golf, tennis and loves to travel. He and his wife of 16 years have two daughters, and enjoy spending quality time together experiencing all the excitement Orlando offers.
