HITEC 2016 attendees and exhibitors to work together to provide for the Children's Hospital of New Orleans

AUSTIN, TEXAS (April 26, 2016) — Attendees and exhibitors at the 2016 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC®) in New Orleans, La. will have a chance to give back to the local community via HITEC Helps, the event’s annual social responsibility project.

This year at the HITEC closing keynote, a station will be set up for participants to fill attendee bags with all-ages arts and crafts supplies to be donated to patients at the Children's Hospital of New Orleans. HITEC, produced by Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®), is the world's largest hospitality technology exposition and conference will be held on June 20-23, 2016.

“HITEC Helps is designed to enrich the communities that host our conference,” said HFTP CEO Frank Wolfe, CAE. “It is one way we are able to give back to the people, environment and cultures that assist in making HITEC such a tremendously successful event each year.”

The HITEC Helps 2016 project will take place at the closing keynote on Thursday, June 23, 2016. Donations like these assist hospital staff in making the children feel relaxed and comfortable while being in unfamiliar surroundings. All donations collected will be presented to representatives of the Children’s Hospital of New Orleans.

Sponsorship of the HITEC 2016 conference bags is still available. For those interested in this opportunity, please contact Alison Heathcote at Alison.Heathcote@hftp.org for more information. Exhibitors, attendees and any other individuals interested in donating items for the children’s hospital can contact education@hftp.org for more information.
