Adrienne Craig-Aziz and Konstantine Kabilafkas Added to Management Team to Run Individual Properties
LOS ANGELES (August 5, 2016)— Luxe Hotels, a leading boutique hotel brand, has named Adam Sydenham as Regional General Manager of the brand’s two corporately owned properties, Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel located in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles and Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel in Beverly Hills. Adrienne Craig-Aziz and Konstantine Kabilafkas will oversee Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel and Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel, respectively, as hotel managers.
Sydenham previously served as general manager of the Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel in Beverly Hills. In his former role, Sydenham managed all hotel operations including, but not limited to, supervising the property’s 88 guestrooms and its meetings and events spaces, which includes the hotel’s rooftop penthouse and its boardrooms. Sydenham also managed the opening of the hotel’s Luxe Club on Rodeo lounge and tasting room concept, which transformed the hotel into a private, guest-only experience. Prior to joining the Luxe Hotels brand, Sydenham worked with the Four Seasons in Moscow, Toronto, and London, where he gained significant hospitality experience.
“While every property within the Luxe Hotels brand offers a distinct individuality and personality, a regional general manager that oversees both properties will guarantee guests receive a consistent valued stay with attention to comfort and satisfaction," said Luxe Hotels CEO and Founder Efrem Harkham. “As the former general manager of Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel, I am confident Adam will have a seamless transition and excel at his new position.”
As regional general manager, Sydenham will work with hotel managers at each Luxe Hotels property to oversee operations and ensure guests find consistent and personalized guests services.
"Luxe Hotels properties each have signature designs, great locations, and are recognized as an integral part of their community,” said Sydenham. “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Luxe Rodeo Drive, and look forward to expanding my role with this brand that blends genuine hospitality with casual luxury at all of its properties.”
Craig-Aziz will take over Sydenham’s day-to-day duties as hotel manager at Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel as he transitions to his regional role. She will provide regular direction and oversee hotel operations in the front office and manage the properties engineering, housekeeping and food and beverage services. Prior to joining Luxe Hotels, Craig-Aziz worked with several upscale and luxury brand hotels including Marriot Hotels and Resorts, Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Doubletree by Hilton. She gained a wealth of experience within all areas of rooms’ division as a director of room operations, room division manager, assistant front office manager, revenue management, and housekeeping throughout her twenty years in the industry. In her most recent position, Craig-Aziz served as director of room operations at the InterContinental Los Angeles Century City, where she supervised all operations of guest relations, housekeeping, and front office, security, parking, spa, and gift shop for the 364-room property.
Hospitality veteran Kabilafkas will serve as hotel manager at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel in Brentwood. Kabilafkas previously served as the director of food and beverage at numerous hotels including the iconic Millennium Biltmore in Los Angeles, Hotel Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica and the Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara, in addition to Marriott, Hilton and Renaissance brand throughout the Los Angeles area. In each of these roles, he was responsible for all food and beverage operating departments in addition to managing employee satisfaction, guest satisfaction, revenue growth and improving profitability.
