CON DAO, Vietnam – August 24, 2016 – Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas has appointed Nicholas John Juett as general manager of Six Senses Con Dao in Vietnam. The resort comprises 50 contemporary pool villas, a Six Senses Spa and several dining alternatives. It is the first high-end resort in the Vietnamese archipelago islands, which have been protected for decades as a national and marine park.
A graduate from Camborne Catering College, Cornwall, UK and with over 20 years of experience within the international hotel and tourism industry, Juett started his hospitality journey as the front of house manager at the Haven Hotel in the UK where he later on became the general manager. This was followed by various properties and positions including that of general manager for Colony Club Hotel, St James, Barbados; group operations director for FBJ Hotels, UK; technical services manager for Aman Resorts, Singapore; joint general manager for Amanpulo Resort, Philippines and more recently general manager for Amanruya, Turkey.
Juett is no stranger to Six Senses as he and his wife Christine were the joint general managers of Vatulele Island Resort, Fiji from 2006 to 2008 when Six Senses briefly took over as the management company. Prior to his current appointment, Juett was involved in a pre-opening project in New Zealand and a hotel re-development project in the UK.
Juett enjoys visiting new places – to which he and his wife can now add Vietnam, yachting, walking, fitness and cooking. He also enjoys gardening and is anxious to become involved with the resort’s organic garden at his new home. Nick and Christine are accompanied by a rescue cat named Lola, which they adopted in Turkey.
